State Service Project

Oklahoma TSA’s State Service Project is the American Cancer Society. ACS funding goes towards research, supporting cancer patients, and spreading the word about how to prevent cancer.

We support ACS throughout the year at our Fall Leadership Conference, Mini-Conferences, and State Conference. Chapters that raise any amount in donations for ACS during the current school year are recognized at State Conference.

ACS is also TSA’s national Service project, chapters and officer teams that raise the most money are recognized on the national level. Oklahoma TSA was recognized at the 2018 National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia for our fundraising efforts in the 2017-2018 school year.

Participation/Recognition

All chapters are encouraged to participate in any ACS events in their area.

Chapters that raise money for ACS will be recognized for their contribution at the State Conference. Any chapter that raises $1000 or more will receive a plaque at the State Leadership Conference and will be recognized at the general session of the TSA National Conference.

Important Dates

All paperwork and documentation of ACS Fundraising is due no later than March 1st.

TSA is a national, non-profit organization of high school and middle school student members who are engaged in STEM. Since TSA was chartered in 1978, over 5,000,000 members have participated through competitions, intracurricular activities, leadership opportunities, and community service.
